Power of Minister to make additional transitional provisions
of Private Higher Educational Institutions Act 1996
The Minister may, by rules, make such provision as he considers necessary or expedient for the purpose of removing any difficulties occasioned by the application of this Act on private higher educational institutions—
(a)
established under the Essential (Higher Educational
Institutions) Regulations 1969;
(b)
registered or deemed to have been registered under the
Education Act 1996; and
(c)
to which provisional certificates of registration have been issued or are deemed to have been issued under the
Education Act 1996.
(2)
The power of the Minister under subsection (1) shall include power to make such modifications so as to give effect to the provisions of this Act.
