Section 99
(a)
who has been registered as a teacher or is deemed to have been registered under the Education Act 1996 shall, within one month from the date of coming into force of this Act;
or
(b)
who has been issued or is deemed to have been issued with a permit to teach under the Education Act 1996 shall—
(i)
within one month before the expiry of such permit;
or
(ii)
within one month from the date of coming into force of this Act, whichever is the later, apply for a permit to teach under Part IX of this Act.
(2)
Pending the determination of the application for a permit to teach referred to under subsection (1), such person may continue to teach in the private higher educational institution and shall in those circumstances be deemed to be lawfully teaching.
(3)
The acknowledgement letter, issued by the Registrar General in respect of an application for a permit to teach under this section, shall be sufficient proof of the making of such application.
