Address for service
(2)
The address furnished with the Registrar under subsection (1)
shall be entered into the Register or the record of Registrar and shall be deemed to be the address for service of the person under subsection (1) for all the proceedings before the Registrar.

(3)
An applicant, any person who opposes the registration of a geographical indication or any other person who is involved in any proceedings before the Registrar may request to change the address for service in the form as determined by the Registrar within the prescribed period.
(4)
Upon receipt of the request for change in subsection (3)
together with payment of the prescribed fee, the Registrar shall change the address for service of the person under subsection (1).
(5)
The Registrar may refuse to proceed with the application or registration of a geographical indication if the address for service as stated in subsection (1) is not furnished.
(6)
If the person stated in subsection (1) is not residing or carrying on business principally in Malaysia, the address for service of his registered geographical indication agent shall be entered into the Register or the record of Registrar and shall be deemed to be the address for service of the person under subsection (1)
for all proceedings before the Registrar.
