(2)
Where by reason of—
(a)
an error or omission by the person or by his registered geographical indication agent;
(b)
circumstances beyond the control of the person or his registered geographical indication agent; or
(c)
an error or action on the part of the Geographical Indication
Office, an act, in relation to an application for the registration of a geographical indication or in proceedings before the Registrar, is required to be done within a certain time has not been so done, the Registrar may extend the time for doing the act even though that time has expired.
