Section 95

Section 95

(1)

Whoever, without the permission of the Majlis, erects a mosque or surau or religious school or the like or makes use of, as or for the purpose of a mosque or surau or religious school, any existing building shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.

(2)

The Court may order that the usage of any building which contravenes the provision of subsection (1) be terminated and that the building be demolished.

(3)

For the purpose of sections 93, 94 and this section, Majlis land means land registered or vested in the name of the Majlis.
