Section 177

Subsection 39(2) and section 40 of this Act shall apply where the renewal of existing registered marks under the repealed Act falls due on or after the commencement of this Act and the repealed Act shall continue to apply for existing registered marks where its renewal does not fall due on or after the commencement of this Act.

For the purposes of subsection (2), the renewal fee under this Act shall be applicable regardless that such fee has been paid before the commencement of this Act.
