Section 108

Nothing in section 107 or in the sections relating to the offences of desertion or absence without leave shall take away or limit any remedy by suit or otherwise which an owner or master would, but for those provisions, have for any breach of contract in respect of the matters constituting an offence under those sections, but an owner or master shall not be compensated more than once in respect of the same damage.
