Section 259

Notwithstanding anything in the Evidence Ordinance [Cap. 43.], where any document is required by this Ordinance to be executed in the presence of or to be attested by any witness or witnesses, that document may be proved by the evidence of any person who is able to bear witness to the requisite facts, without calling the attesting witness or attesting witnesses or any of them.
