Section 151
(1)
If the owner or agent of any North Borneo ship has reason, owing to the non-appearance of the ship or to any other circumstance, to apprehend that the ship has been wholly lost, he shall, as soon as conveniently may be, send to the nearest Port Officer notice in writing of the loss and of the probable occasion thereof, stating the name of the ship, her official number, if any, and the port to which she belongs.
(2)
If the owner or agent of a ship fails without reasonable cause to comply with this section within a reasonable time, he shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a fine of one thousand dollars.
