Section 187

Every notice given under subsection (2) of section 184 or under subsection (3) of section 186 shall be communicated by the radio surveyor to the Port Officer and, if the ship to which it relates is not a British or North Borneo ship, to the consular officer for the country to which the ship belongs at or nearest to the port where the ship is for the time being; and port clearance shall not be granted to the ship, and the ship shall be detained, until a certificate under the hand of a radio surveyor is produced to the effect that the deficiency has been remedied.
