(2)
If any such seizure of wreck is made in consequence of information given by any person to the Receiver of Wreck, on the warrant being issued under this section, the informer shall be entitled, by way of salvage, to such sum, not exceeding in any case one hundred dollars, as the Receiver of Wreck may allow.
