Section 269

If any person wilfully impedes an inspector or any person having the powers of an inspector in the execution of his duty, whether on board a ship or elsewhere, that person shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a fine of five hundred dollars; and any such person may be seized and detained by the inspector or person having the powers of an inspector, or by any person or persons whom that inspector or person may call to his assistance, until he can be conveniently taken before a Magistrate.
