Section 53
The following reduced fares and concessions may be operated at the discretion of the General Manger:
(i)
weekend return tickets at one and one-half time the normal single fare – first class only; available for outward journey on Friday and Saturday and return journey on Sunday;
(ii)
Sunday return tickets at one and one-half times the normal fare – first and economy class;

(iii)
for special occasions such as Tamu, etc., on due notice being given by the Traffic Superintendent, return tickets at one and one-half times the normal single fare;
(iv)
organised parties of not less than ten persons may, on written application to the Traffic
Superintendent, be granted return tickets at one and one-half times the normal single fare.
(v)
for special occasions, return tickets at fifty per cent of ordinary rates may be granted provided that prior approval is obtained from the Minister of Communications and Works.
(b)
officers and other ranks of Malaysian Armed Forces, and their wives, families and servants accompanying them (not exceeding five in number) when travelling on duty or on leave may, upon presentation to the booking clerk of a warrant signed by an authorised officer, be issued with single journey tickets. First or Economy class as the case may be, at three quarters the ordinary single Tariff
Book fare.
(ii)
the wives, families and servants (not exceeding five in number) of such officers and other ranks may, upon presentation of a duly signed warrant, be granted the concessional fare prescribed in subparagraph (i) of this paragraph on not more than two occasions yearly.
