Indemnity and protection against suit and legal proceedings

Section 79
No action shall lie or prosecution shall be brought, instituted or maintained against any person in any court for any thing done or omitted to be done under this Act—
(a)
in good faith;
(b)
in the reasonable belief that it was necessary for the purpose intended to be served thereby; or
(c)
for carrying into effect the provisions of this Act.
Copy of reception order to be sent to Medical Director of government psychiatric hospital or gazetted private psychiatric hospital
