Section 30

A person who is disqualified from being elected or being a member of an

Authority shall be disqualified from being a member of a committee or sub-committee of the

Authority or of any divisional committee established by the Authority.

The provisions of section 23 relating to the duty of disclosure and the disability of members of an Authority from voting on, taking part in the discussion of, certain matters, shall apply in respect of members of a committee or divisional committee with the substitution of references to the committee or divisional committee for references to the Authority.

Subject to the provisions of subsection (4) every member of a committee or divisional committee appointed under this Ordinance who was, at the time of his appointment, a member of the Authority appointing such committee or establishing such divisional committee shall, upon ceasing to be a member of the Authority, also cease to be a member of such committee or divisional committee.

For the purposes of subsection (3) a member of an Authority shall not be deemed by reason of retirement to have ceased to be a member of such Authority, if he has been re-elected, re-nominated or re-appointed a member thereof not later than the day of his retirement.
