Section 246

Any owner or person who fails, without reasonable cause, to comply with a notice under subsection (1) shall be deemed guilty of an offence and shall be liable, in addition to any other penalties or liabilities of any kind thereby incurred, to imprisonment for six months and a fine of one thousand dollars.

If any owner or person fails to comply with a notice under subsection (1), the

Director, may, by his servants or workmen, enter into the place wherein the same may be, and forthwith extinguish such fire or light, doing no unnecessary damage and all expenses incurred by the Director in so doing may be recovered from such owner or person as a civil debt.
