Instruments to contain description, etc., of parties
of National Land Code (Revised - 2020)
(1)
Every instrument effecting any dealing under this Act shall specify—
(a)
the full name and address, and (where appropriate) the occupation or conjugal status, of every person or body claiming thereunder;
(b)
in the case of any person or body whose address specified therein pursuant to paragraph (a) is outside the Federation, an address within the Federation for the service of notices under this Act; and
(c)
where the effect of the instrument is to transfer any land to two or more persons or bodies as co-proprietors, the shares in which the land is to be held.

In its application to the Federal Territory of Labuan—
(1)
in subsection (1)—
(a)
substitute for the words “Subject to subsection (2), every” the word “Every”;
and
(b)
in paragraph (b), delete the words “or, in the case of land held under qualified title, its Land Office number”;
(2)
delete subsection (4).
