Section 10

The Railway Department does not undertake to send notice of arrival of articles or animals to consignees but at the principal stations for the convenience of consignees and to ensure quicker delivery, notice of arrival of articles or animals is generally given to consignees whose addresses are known, but the absence of such notice does not entitle consignees to claim exemption from demurrage or storage charges if articles or animals are not removed within the free period allowed.
