Determination, and payment, of compensation under this Act
of National Land Code (Revised - 2020)
(1)
Where, under any provision of this Act, any person or body is entitled in respect of any matter to compensation to be agreed or determined in accordance with this section, the amount thereof shall be such as may be agreed between him and the
State Director or, in default of any such agreement, determined by arbitration.

(2)
For the purposes of the Arbitration Act 2005 [Act 646], every such arbitration shall be deemed to be pursuant to a submission—
(a)
providing for the question in dispute to be referred to two arbitrators, one to be appointed by the State
Director and the other by the person or body to whom the compensation is payable, and
(b)
expressly incorporating the provisions set out in paragraphs (2) to (9) of the First Schedule to that Act.
(3)
Any compensation agreed or determined in accordance with this section shall be payable to the person or body entitled thereto by the Government of the State.
