Section 438
Repeal and amendment of existing laws
of National Land Code (Revised - 2020)
(1)
The enactments specified in the Eleventh Schedule are repealed as from the commencement of this Act.
(2)
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong may, at any time within the period of two years beginning with the commencement of this
Act, by order under this section—
(a)
repeal any other written law in force immediately before that commencement and rendered obsolete or unnecessary by any provision thereof;
(b)
make such repeals or amendments in any such law as he may consider necessary for the purpose of bringing the provisions thereof into accord with the provisions of this
Act, or of supplementing the last-mentioned provisions in any respect:
Provided that the power conferred by this subsection shall not be exercised in respect of a State law otherwise than with the concurrence of the State Authority.
Modifications for Federal Territory 438a. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong may by order provide for the application of this Act in the Federal Territory subject to such modifications as he may consider necessary or desirable.
